MA in International Relations

In a world characterised by nuclear proliferation, international terrorism, global warming, desperate poverty and war, understanding the structures, processes and key issues is crucially important.  The MA Degree in International Relations offers advanced research in International Relations providing students with a detailed understanding of the international system, key issues, the crucial actors, and alternative ways of analysing and interpreting the subject.

The MA in International Relations includes compulsory training elements in research skills and approaches, and two core courses covering key aspects of international relations and a regional security study.  In addition students choose two specialist courses that reflect the research interests of the Department staff.

The MA is available as a full-time degree programme (1 year) and as a part-time degree programme (minimum of two years).
